On June 10, 2025, the Muskegon City Commission officially adopted the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget, reinforcing the City’s commitment to essential public services, fiscal responsibility, and long-term sustainability.

The approved budget aligns with the City Commission’s strategic goals while maintaining a structurally sound financial plan. Core services will continue without departmental restructuring, and capital projects funded by the General Fund and Public Improvement Fund have been scaled back to preserve fiscal health.
