Officer Cody Merkins
I am the neighborhood Officer for Nelson Neighborhood. I have been with the Muskegon Police Department since 2015. I received my associates degree from Muskegon Community College and then received my bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Criminal Justice. I have spent time as a Patrol Officer and a detective in the undercover narcotics unit. I am currently a field training Officer for the department. I enjoy watching and playing sports, working out and spending time with friends and family.
