Public Meeting | Connecting Community to the Water, Ports, and Parks!
The City of Muskegon has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to meaningfully reimagine how our residents and visitors interact with the Muskegon Lake shoreline. We are also presented with the chance to position the Port of Muskegon as the key port facility in West Michigan, driving economic development and job creation in the city.
Public Engagement
These sessions will feature a presentation from staff regarding the proposed development with information on a holistic view of public access, community development, and economic development. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback and have questions answered. The city plans to host three public engagement sessions to gather community input on the project:
- RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER! January 22, 2025, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Sim Ray Community Building at Smith-Ryerson Park
- January 27, 2025, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Sim Ray Community Building at Smith-Ryerson Park (new date added for rescheduled time)
- February 4, 2025, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at the Department of Public Works
- February 17, 2025, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM at the Muskegon Innovation Hub
We encourage you to attend a session, sign up for updates, or complete the online survey when available. Your feedback will help shape the future of our waterfront.
