Expungement Clinic and Resource Fair

Attend the G.U.N.S / City of Muskegon Expungement Fair on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 95 W. Broadway Avenue, Muskegon Heights, Michigan, 49444. This event offers individuals the opportunity to begin the process of expunging eligible criminal offenses from their records.

Expungement Process Overview:

The expungement process can take up to eight months and involves the following steps:

  • Application Submission: Submit your expungement application. All necessary forms can be found in the “Applications & Checklists” section on the Expungement Assistance webpage at mkgcity.com/clinic.
  • Michigan State Police (MSP) Processing: Once MSP receives the required documentation, please allow up to two months for your Criminal History Report to be processed.
  • Attorney General’s Response: The Department of Attorney General will process their response up to three months after the Criminal History Report has been completed.
  • Expungement Hearing: A court hearing will be scheduled to finalize the expungement.
