Fire Hydrant Water Flushing

The Water Dept will be flushing hydrants in the center of the city beginning Monday, Sept 9., 2024.
Staff will be focusing on the area between Wood St to Seaway Dr (east-west) and Shoreline Dr/Ottawa St. to Sherman Blvd (north-south). This will take a few weeks.
This is a routine annual procedure to ensure every hydrant is tested at least once every three years. If you see rusty-colored water in your home, just run your faucets for about 5 minutes to clear out any debris.
