Muskegon Farmers Market Celebrates National Farmers Market Week
July 29, 2025
Muskegon’s Market: A Vibrant Hub for Local Food, Community, and Entrepreneurship
Muskegon, MI — The Muskegon Farmers Market invites the community to celebrate National Farmers Market Week, August 3–9, 2025. As one of the largest, oldest and most beloved farmers markets in Michigan, the Muskegon Farmers Market proudly joins markets across the country in highlighting the vital role markets play in supporting local farmers, fueling small business growth, and building healthy communities.
With over 100 vendors during peak season, the Muskegon Farmers Market is more than a place to shop—it’s a space where relationships are built, traditions are shared, and the local economy thrives. From fresh-picked produce and locally raised meats to baked goods, flowers, crafts, and prepared foods, the market offers something for everyone.
“Our market has always been about more than just transactions,” said Market Manager Lisa Potter. “It’s a place where neighbors connect, kids learn where food comes from, and new businesses get their start. National Farmers Market Week gives us a chance to celebrate that and thank the community for supporting us.”
Throughout the week, the Muskegon Farmers Market will host special activities, including:
- Live music and family-friendly entertainment
- Vendor spotlights on the farmers’ market website and social media
- Kids activities through the Power of Produce Club
The Muskegon Farmers Market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM at 242 W. Western Ave. The Flea Market is held on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
National Farmers Market Week, now in its 26th year, is an initiative of the USDA and Farmers Market Coalition that recognizes the important contributions farmers markets make to rural and urban communities alike.
Come down to the Muskegon Farmers Market this week to shop, connect, and celebrate all that local food and community have to offer!
