Winter Farmers Market Brings Fresh Local Goods to the Community
[Muskegon, Michigan] – As the winter season settles in, the Muskegon Winter Farmers Market is set to bring fresh, local, and seasonal produce directly to the community. Starting December 7, 2024, this market will continue to offer a wide variety of goods from local farmers, artisans, and food producers, giving shoppers the opportunity to support small businesses while enjoying quality products through the colder months. You will find many of your favorite long-time vendors and farmers as well as several new ones.The Winter Farmers Market will be held on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 242 W. Western Avenue in downtown Muskegon. This year’s market promises to feature a diverse selection of fresh vegetables, meats, eggs, dairy products, baked goods, prepared foods, handmade crafts, and more—all sourced from local producers. Shop small, shop local.

Highlights of the 2024 – 2025 Winter Farmers Market Include:
- Seasonal Produce: Root vegetables, winter greens, squash, apples, and more, all grown and harvested locally.
- Artisanal Goods: Homemade bread, cheeses, jams, pickles, and other specialty products.
- Crafts & Gifts: Local artisans offering handmade jewelry, clothing, candles, and other unique gifts, perfect for holiday shopping.
- Prepared Foods: Hot meals, soups, and snacks to enjoy on-site, featuring fresh ingredients from market vendors.
- Kids Power of Produce Club – for kids ages 3-13 and will start on January 11th from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Kids will get tokens to spend on produce!
In addition to the regular market offerings, there will be live music, cooking demos, and other seasonal activities to enhance the shopping experience. The Winter Farmers Market provides a warm, inviting atmosphere where people can come together to enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of the season.
